  • Terrible app

    Slow to load when it loads. Won’t even load the last few days. App should not even be offered until it is improved a bunch.

    I’d rate Zero if I could. The home page in the app on iOS 14.7.1 does not load. Full stop. Little sunburst just hangs out. It’s been days. I’ve powered down. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled. Nada. This. Is. Dumb. Do better.
  • Poor photo viewing and no dictionary option

    This app could use significant improvement. Viewing photos in news stories, especially if on a phone/smaller screen (iphone 11) is a frustrating experience. Photos cannot be zoomed in and if you rotate your phone to try and see them better, they get cut off by the margins of the screen. Also, you cannot highlight a word and use the phone’s built in ‘look up’/dictionary feature. These are basic features which news sites are expected to have. The app frequently crashes when you select an article to read.
  • Now it won’t even open

    This app has been freezing up for weeks. Now it will no longer even open on an iPad. If there were a half-star negative review, this neglected app would qualify.

    The StarTribune should be ashamed at releasing this app which crashes, often doesn’t load, and basically puts a damper on what otherwise is great journalism. How about spending a few dollars to fix it?
  • Poor buggy app

    Very frustrating when home page will not open, stuttering when navigating between pages/articles. Individual stories load very slowly, sometimes freezing. Very sad that this app has bot been updated in 10 months to fix some of the bugs. Apparently, StarTrib management has little commitment of its online subscribers!

    The developer cannot resolve the problem of memory loading. As the user moves thru pages, the app grows slower and slower until it freezes. (On my iPad and IPhone devices). I access for smoother and reliable use. Browser accessed rather than thru an app.
