  • Too many sign ins required!

    I give up!
  • $120 year...no thanks

    By RedMannyP
Long time user of the app and previously a paid subscriber but no more...
  • Only for subscribers - not worth the trouble

    By Kcphotoguy
I used to occasionally glance at items from The Star and was generally dissatisfied. Now you can’t really even access anything without their costly subscription. Not worth it Deleted
  • Blocked From Viewing Articles

    By lbg3093
The app asks me to sign in to view articles even though I’m already signed in. When I sign in again, I still cannot view articles. Junk! I hate to see The Star go under, as their actual reporting is good, but with this bad an app, that had been this way for weeks, maybe it is best to let it die.
  • KC Star and Coffee

    By CometotheFuture
I can not start my day unless I have my coffee and read the KC Star. Local national and international news. I keeps me informed and up to date on the issues of the day. I have been subscriber since 1974. The day is not complete with out it.
  • This app is awful

    By MikeHunt6969696968
No search function. No ability to select favorite topics, authors, etc. If you attempt to access your account from Twitter, you have to sign in 6 times. Everyone talks about supporting local journalism and how much local matters, but then you pay the money and have to jump through 18 hoops to read what you bought. Pathetic.
  • Meh

    By longLiveWSB
The star had turned into mostly opinion pieces instead of local, breaking news. And even when they do right a news story, it always includes a slant. Just give me the facts and I’ll make up my own mind.
  • Have to sign in with every article

    By HazFish
Every time I click on an article the app makes me sign in again. If I sign in on website this doesn’t happen.
  • ADS

What’s with the ADS now in the Online version!!!! Do we have to pay to remove these???
  • New latest version has adds encroaching on the screen

    By fthessel
Version 8.0.1 has adds that crop the bottom of the screen. There are already adds in the paper, why make it harder for people with vision challenges to read the paper? The app now frequently locks up and even crashes. The previous version was much better.
